The second course at the Superstition Mountain Country Club, the Lost Gold course, was built in 1999 and is another Jack Nicklaus design. This course is also 18-holes with a par 72 but it is a bit longer than the Prospector course reaching over 7,300 yards. Like the Prospector course, this is a private facility and green fees run $120.00.
Gold Canyon Golf Resort is the home of the #1 rated public course in Arizona – the Dinosaur Mountain course. Spectacular mountain views await as you traverse this 18-hole, 70 par course. The 4th hole has been named one of the “Ten Most Dramatic Holes in Arizona” by golf.com. With a length of just over 6,000 yards and a rating of 67.9, you are guaranteed a great golf experience. The Gold Canyon Golf Resort also features the 18-hole, 71 par Sidewinder course. Reaching just over 6,000 yards, the course has received a course rating of 79.5 and has a slope of 130. Green fees start at around $90 on weekdays and go up on the weekends. Discounted rates are usually available during the summer months.
The Mountainbrook Village Golf Club is an 18-hole, 71 par public course. The course is rated at a 69.7 with a slope rating of 124 and runs over 6,600 yards in length. The Mountainbrook Golf Club can be reached at (480) 671-1000.
